How is coaching different to counselling?

Coaching differs from counselling in that the focus is mainly on the present and future rather than the past. There is also a more equal relationship between the coach and client.

Career coaching provides a structured pathway to assist you to align your interests and passions with your future employment goals and direction.

How can a coach help me?

A coach can provide skilled guidance to assist you to turn dissatisfaction into information and direction. A coach will empower you to identify what you want and take action.

What problems can I work on?

We can support you to change any aspect of your life you want to improve. This may include gaining confidence, changing careers, being healthier or managing conditions such as depression, anxiety or chronic pain.

How often will we meet?

The frequency of one-on-one sessions will depend on your circumstances. Most of our clients want rapid results so our programs are designed to gain the maximum benefit in the shortest possible time.

What is disability support?

Disability support is a suite of services provided by a support worker with experience in mentoring people with disability. They are skilled at empowering people to improve their daily life, enhance capacity and gain more independence and control.

What is counselling?

Counselling is the process of working through your personal problems with an experienced professional. A counsellor can help you to clarify any issues, explore options, develop strategies and increase self-awareness.

Our assessment services facilitate deeper insight into your skills, strengths and needs as well as the impact of any health conditions. They also provide formal evidence to help secure additional funding for support services.

Resilience is the capacity to bounce back from everyday stresses while staying healthy, adapting and learning from setbacks and preparing for future challenges proactively.

What is a therapy assistant?

Therapy Assistants undertake some of the duties that require less developed skills and experience. Therapy Assistants complement the services offered by our qualified allied health profession

Does a coach give advice?

One of the biggest misconceptions is that coaching is about giving advice. A coach believes that all of the answers we seek are inside of ourselves and they will not tell you what to do.

How is career coaching different to coaching?

Career coaching is a similar process to coaching, but the emphasis is on employment and career development.

How can a career coach help me?

Career coaching can empower you to improve your current work situation or transition into new employment. This may also include practical help such as preparing an effective resume or creating a dynamic job application.

How long will each session be?

The time taken will vary depending on your unique situation. As a rough guide, allow up to 1.5 hours for the first consultation and 1 hour for each subsequent session.
